1. Creating walls

How to draw walls and set dimensions from keyboard

  1. 1 Switch to PLAN mode and pick the Wall tool.
  2. 2 Place the first point and drag — you can type the length from the keyboard while drawing.
  3. 3 Close the outline on the starting point: rooms and their areas are calculated automatically.

2. Ruler and snapping

Using guides and 90-degree snapping

  1. 1 The 90° snap button (key G) keeps walls strictly horizontal and vertical.
  2. 2 Points of existing walls attract the cursor, so joints come out without gaps.
  3. 3 The Ruler tool measures the distance between any two points on the plan.

3. Sockets and switches

How to place electrical components on the plan

  1. 1 Switch to ELEC mode — the electrical layer appears on top of the layout.
  2. 2 Pick a component (socket, switch, lamp, panel, junction box) and place it on the plan.
  3. 3 Use the Wire tool to link points into groups — cable length is derived from them.

4. Estimate calculation

How to get the final materials list

  1. 1 The estimate is built from whatever is already on the plan — nothing to fill in by hand.
  2. 2 Sections: breakers by purpose, cable by cross-section and length, hardware (back boxes, junction boxes) and wire slack.
  3. 3 The plan and the estimate can be printed or exported to PDF: plan only, electrical only, or both.

5. Save and load

Working with multiple layouts

  1. 1 Save stores the plan in the browser; signing in adds cloud sync.
  2. 2 Load opens the list of your layouts.
  3. 3 A layout can be made public — then it appears in the shared gallery.
